This structure ensures that talented athletes have a clear and structured pathway from the academy to the senior team, fostering growth and providing more competitive opportunities. The collaboration between both clubs strengthens the developmental pipeline, helping to elevate players to their highest potential.
On February, 5, 2021, Upstate United FC was announced as a United Premier Soccer League expansion team. Original leadership included President Hanson Goeso, VP Thomas Nimineh, General Manager Abu Bility, and Head Coach Allen Jusic. Under Coach Jusic, the team made an immediate impact, showcasing remarkable talent and resilience on the pitch. The team’s relentless effort and dedication resulted in a 6-1-5 record, achieving a 4th place finish in the UPSL Northeast Conference Western New York Division. During the fall D1 season, the club won both the UPSL WNY D1 and UPSL Northeast D1 Conference championships.
