SYRACUSE, NY — Upstate United Football Club has reintroduced its competitive soccer program under a new name, Onondaga FC, marking a key step in the organization’s long-term development pathway.
Upstate United FC remains the parent nonprofit focused on sports education and community growth through soccer. To expand its competitive operations, the club created Onondaga FC as a separate entity dedicated to high-level play, player advancement and regional engagement.
Onondaga FC will serve as the bridge between UUFC’s grassroots academy programs and future professional ambitions. The club aims to compete in USL League Two by 2027 with support from a U23 squad and a fully integrated USL Academy team. Meanwhile, Upstate United FC Academy will continue in the UPSL Academy system through UPSL Division One as the primary developmental pipeline.
To keep supporters connected, Onondaga FC has launched a free mobile app through Stack Team App. Fans can download the app on the App Store or Google Play, search for Onondaga FC and request membership for news, schedules and updates.
